Acceptable Identification Documents
- CA Driver's license or ID Card
Issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles or any other State DMV or similar office (such as Bureau of Motor Vehicles) - Driver License issued by another state
Issued by a state other than California or by a Canadian or Mexican public agency authorized to issue drivers' licenses - US Armed Forces ID Card (CACs are not permitted)
- US Passport
Issued by the Department of State of the United States - Passport issued by a foreign government which must be stamped by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)
- Inmate ID Card
Issued by the Department of Corrections. Acceptable only if the inmate is in custody - Employee ID Card
Issued by an agency or office of the State of California, or by any agency or office of a city, county, or city and county in this state
ALL Identification Documents must be current or have been issued within five years; and contain a photograph, a description of the person named (except for passports), signed by the person, and must bear a serial or other identification number.
